I'm a man of wealth and taste...
Appearance:
teddy is almost an exact clone of his mother, except that he’s a guy, and obviously, his mother is female. they both have the same thick, curly brown hair that falls out at an alarming rate. they also share the same unremarkable blue eyes. some eyes are gorgeous, and many are pretty, but teddy’s are just... eyes. there’s absolutely nothing special about them. his skin appears to be flawless and soft, but appearances can be deceiving. lift up teddy’s bangs and you might get a bit of a nasty shock – his forehead is prime breeding ground for all sorts of blemish-causing bacteria. try as hard as he might, the only facial hair his body can grow is eyebrows, which is a tad depressing, because his dad is as hairy as bigfoot. (he’s got the same shoe size, too, which was unfortunately passed down to all of his sons.)
clothing is not something that teddy particularly cares about. in fact, he really doesn’t care about it at all. he just throws on whatever is within reach with no care as to whether or not he’s wearing five different patterns and marches out the door. this was perfectly fine when his mother dressed him, and is okay on school days when they have to wear a uniform, but his weekend ensembles have been known to cause a few migraines. it’s not like teddy is blind; he just dresses like he is. he does, however, usually manage to match his shoes. his socks have a tendency to clash magnificently, but one rarely sees another's socks anyways.
Personality:
have you ever met someone who just won't shut up? yeah, teddy is one of those people. what makes it especially annoying in teddy's case is that he usually doesn't have anything interesting to say. he loves loves loves talking and interacting with other people. he may not be very good at said interaction, but he enjoys it regardless. take, for example, dancing. teddy loves to dance. other than the quest for knowledge, he finds it to be his one true calling in life. unfortunately, the affection is not reciprocated. teddy’s dancing is horrific at best, and often destructive. once he starts feeling the music, he loses control of his limbs and they flail around dangerously, smacking into people and expensive decorations.
teddy is always happy. always. he is so obnoxiously happy all the time that his parents thought he had some sort of disease and had him go through therapy. well, they still think he has some sort of disease; they're just used it now. most people think he’s kind of crazy for being so happy, but he thinks most people are crazy for not being happy. there is just so much to love about the world, such as the thrill of being alive, the smell of fresh bread, and (most of all, in teddy’s case) the massive amount of knowledge that can be gained. teddy, like most of his classmates, rather dislikes school. he finds the classrooms stuffy, the classes monotonous, and the coursework annoying. however, he absolutely adores learning, just not in such a dull environment. teddy can almost always be seen reading some sort of book or scribbling away in his journal, cataloguing the different plants and animals around the school. just because he loves learning does not mean he is a brilliant student, however. he’s average at best, and is probably failing a few of his worst classes. but does that bring teddy down? please. as if a silly thing like flunking could wipe that smile off of his face.

I've been around for a long, long year...
History:
teddy was born into a large, well-off family. as the fourth son of raymond and ruth (nee peters) knight, he was showered with plenty of attention from his older brothers, and became close friends with them. henry, who was nine when teddy was born, already had experience helping raise his other two brothers, and spent lots of time teaching teddy various things. the knights were wealthy, but they were very conservative with their money. after great grandpa joshua nearly lost the entire knight fortune in a scam before he got cold feet and backed out of the deal, they had good reason to be. they did not hire any outsiders to help with raising their children, cooking, or taking care of household chores. instead, ruth took it upon herself to do everything, with help from her mother and father. ruth was the only child of grandma and grandpa peters, so they were eager to help out in any way possible. when grandpa peters passed away, doing all of the chores became an impossible task. ruth then turned to her children, and so from the time teddy was four years old, he helped out with keeping the house neat and tidy. even though the knights may have not lived quite as lavishly as they could have, they did spoil their children. henry had four bicycles by the time he turned ten, each one customized to fit him perfectly. clem, teddy’s second oldest brother, was musically inclined and had been sent to countless music classes and had a piano, three violins, and a trumpet before he was old enough to go to school. franklin, the third oldest, was very fond of eating, and ruth cooked up amazing pastries for him to consume. teddy was given stacks upon stacks of books, so many that even he couldn’t possibly read them all. and, seven years after teddy’s birth, his little sister julia was born. if possible, she was spoiled even more than all of her brothers put together. ruth had been holding out for a girl, and bought her countless outfits and dolls.
the knights believed in proper education. they wanted their children to succeed, after all. henry and clem were sent to the same school, but ruth secretly sent franklin to a special school in france that included classes on gourmet cooking and the like. raymond was rather enraged at that, but somehow ruth managed to calm him down. by the time teddy was old enough to go to school, the school that his two oldest brothers had gone to had closed. so, he was sent to florence’s academy for the young.
