Name: Twyla Grace
Age: 14 years old
Experience: I have roleplayed for about a year. I'm pretty literate but I don't have the biggest vocabulary.
How you found us: I was searching neopets and someone gave me the URL so I checked it out.
Role play Sample: Anastasia, not realizing fully yet that everyone's attention had been drawn to one particular being in the room momentarily, was standing next to the concession stand politely, staying out of the way of others and taking light sips from her wine. She wasn't much of a wine drinker, but she was trying hard to stay unnoticed, which would mean drinking the disgusting liquid quietly and casually, which seemed to keep away the attention of the snide vampires in the room who only sought (sp?) to stand around in small huddles and mutter vile things about others as if they themselves were inalienably perfect.
Being blind gave Anastasia the advantage of inhanced hearing, so she spent the time eavesdropping on random conversations held as she saw fit. None of the conversations really made much of a difference to Anastasia, but she enjoyed listening to the latest political gossip in foreign lands or hearing about the latest scandal preformed by some flamboyant celebrity she had never heard about. All the same she listened intently as slow whispered conversations were held about the mayor that progressed through the room. The small conversations held hinted that the mayor might have been in that very room, but Anastasia hadn't the slightest idea of who the mayor could be. She had never really devoted any time to learning about the newest leader of this exotic city.
Women in tight flouncy dresses made with a shiny silk in pastel colors talked animatedly about the city's expenses and how the money should have been used. Anastasia listened vigorously, having no trouble at all hearing their ecstatic voices. They all had high-pitched, annoying laughs that sounded like hiccups and giggles melted into one obnoxious sound. Every now and then, even if they didn't say anything particularly humorous, they would let loose the most ridiculous laugh that would spread around the group like a virus, then they would blurt out something completely meaningless and start a random conversation about politics, the weather, other cities, the mayor,... There is was again, talk of the mayor. Anastasia was most certain he was in this room and for some strange reason, of which she had no recolation of why it is she had the thought, she wanted to meet him. She wanted greatly to know why everyone practically worshiped him.
She wanted to live a normal life and dress fancily like the pastel dressed women and talk in a loud, contagious voice about politics and exotic affairs and the newest technology that would change our life as we know it. She wanted to be accepted like regular people were and she wanted greatly to be able to hold a conversation for more than five minutes and know what she's talking about and not have somebody chortle at her words as if she were a small child trying to explain the meaning of life.
