I'm a man of wealth and taste...
Appearance:
With Clyde, it’s all about the outside image. No, not vanity exactly. She doesn’t spend hours upon hours in front of a mirror, actually, she doesn’t even own one. She’s more about body language and how it portrays her image. She doesn’t necessarily strut like she owns the place, but she does have her own, personal gate that is unmistakably Clyde and just simply cannot be reproduced by the best of impersonators. She does walk head held high though; do not assume that just because she can be a slick character she walks with a slouch and in a suspicious fashion. Her strong step forces a rather strict air about her, something that would suggest seriousness, demand, and independence. Perhaps intimidating to some people, her stance very rarely changes. She is capable of more relaxed ways, but these remain behind closed doors where the need to assert dominance and prove herself is not necessary. She’s also a surprisingly lazy person behind said doors. Not that anyone would but, her legs are harder to open than an ironing board so…best of luck.
As for her style, she has…none. She favors the men’s button-up dress shirt the most, liking the fact she can roll the sleeves up or down or button it as much as she’d like. She detests and loathes dresses and skirts with a passion beyond comprehension. If you see her in one for whatever reason, don’t get excited. She definitely had pants or slacks on underneath and is just waiting for the right moment to shake the dress off of her hips and go on her way. Clyde has little shame in her body as well. She’ll strip down if she likes the reason enough. As well as the fact she’s confident in her looks. She doesn’t go out of her way to doll herself up or nothing for anyone, maybe she’ll pull a brush through her hair or go out of the way to really wash her face but, don’t depend on it. She usually goes for that just-rolled-out-of-bed look.
She isn’t overly, insanely gorgeous either, or doesn’t make herself out to be. She keeps her long, brunette hair reckless and lets it fall hour it wants. Her skin is smooth, naturally a few shades from pale into a tan. She’s not too tall, just over five and a half feet, and can’t weight very much over one-thirty, one-forty. Pale, full lips and slender eyebrows detail her face as well as slate gray-blue eyes. Not drop-dead gorgeous, but not something to beat with a stick either. Her expression is usually twisted into a look of displeasure or leaning in the direction of anger, disappointment or just general negativity. She isn’t overly expressive, meaning it’s easy to misread her look. Appearance is definitely not that big of a deal with her.
Personality:
Clyde is a powerhouse. She is. Her personality is solid as a rock and she enforces it when she can. To understand really, you need to take the Shrek mentality. You know, “Ogres are like Onions” business? Clyde has layers, she isn’t an ogre though.
One the outside, she considers herself untouchable. She doesn’t feel a damn thing can hurt her. A bit of a social kamikaze, she has a way she speaks to each and every single person. Often offering the thought that she is terribly two-faced and bitchy. A fake, a fraud. Clyde will not lie if she has the choice, she’s brutally honest with people. You can always depend on Clyde hurting you, but there being no bullshit about anything, Not that you could do anything anyway. It’s her way or the highway really. A mentality that she uses when leading her clique. This is a very unique aspect of her personality that would not exist had she not been the head of a clique such as her precious Misfits. She pictures herself to be the Saint of Misfits, what they should wish to be, what they should idolize. Sometimes, it’s more of a hassle than she wants though. She watches after her clique like it’s a child, her little baby. She makes sure she knows every member, makes sure she knows who they are. She created the Misfits when she first arrived in Florence at sixteen years old, she had high. High standards for her clique mates and failure to appease one of them was noted. When her elder Brother, Zachary, passed away. Clyde was sent back home to New York to deal with the family issues that followed. Coming back to Florence a short time later, she was disgusted by how the leadership had shifted about in her absence. Completely loathed it. Needless to say, Clyde isn’t one to step back and watch something she put her own blood, sweat, and tears into be torn apart by some amateur. Clyde stepped up, shouldering the responsibility for it all, usurping the ‘leader’ and taking claim to the throne once again.
Some misfits might twist this into a sense of abandonment, something Clyde would never purposefully do. When she came back, she came back with an iron fist, prepared to beat down anybody who thought they had gained some importance. She is definitely one for a chain-of-command mentality, but seeing how that is very similar to the Pretty Faces, she traded it for a Leader, Mother Hen type quality, with the right hand to help oversee everything going on with the rest. She insists cooperation in her gang. Insists a sense of sisterhood that will, if you pass it, probably last you the rest of your life. Her need to not be some sub-class of a higher clique feeds her to be a bit of a dictator. She will not stand inner-clique friction. Do not let her catch you arguing with a fellow Misfit. She also assumes that, should one member be in trouble, all available in the area will heed to their aid. She pictures it like some oddball family, not a clique. Her strict ways are to try and mold her clique mates into original individuals. She has zero patience for bullshit and will be the first to swing a fist. No shame. If you mess with the best, you’ll go down like the rest.
The inner core of Clyde is very different, her vulnerabilities and major emotions, as you guess, linger here. She is a highly passionate person, which occasionally reveals itself on the surface. One used to say she ‘Walked like a rebel, but spoke like a poet’. If you ever see this more sensitive side of Clyde, you’ll know she is pretty good with words and imagery. She’s a bit arsty-fartsy, but only behind closed doors. She isn’t a reader, but enjoys and respects fine literature. Clyde’s inner core is so deep down though, it’s impossibly hard to reach. Even her life-long and family friend, Salem Thatchor, hasn’t really tapped that far down.
When Clyde is in love, truly in love. She’s rather affectionate. She could be a romantic if she tried, but that’s if she is truly, madly deeply in love and is able to get over her own, usual reactions. Being a romantic, charming being is something she needs to focus on, not something that comes naturally. This also makes her a bit oblivious to open sexual advances and flirting. She might flirt with someone and not even knowing that that is what she does. She doesn’t like to try new things, preferring to stick with what she knows. She can be impossibly stubborn at times, I won’t lie. But it’s just another factor of her’s.
Everything between, is composed of a mixture. Clyde has a strong sense of honor and respect. She believes that Respect and Trust are earned, not given. Her’s are both terribly difficult to get, but relatively undying afterward. Although, you only have to mess up once to end up reeling from repercussions.

I've been around for a long, long year...
History:
To really understand Clyde’s history, you need to go back two generations to her mother’s father, Winston. Old grandpa Win was a well-known business man from Rio de Janiero in Brazil. A man of investments, he made several wise choices in the stocks and made a decent amount of money by the time he was twenty-three. By thirty, he was known for having a ‘good eye for investments’. He simply could not fail. By thirty five, he was your average, successful businessman. The white-picket fence deal, family, kids, and what not. Most notably, his eldest daughter, Claudia. The girl was flighty, wasn’t always there, but she was the one he planned to leave every, single, tiny dime to. Lifestyles of the rich included rubbing elbows with others. One person in particular, the man whom was Salem Thatchor’s grandfather, approached Winston Teller with a business proposition. Combine their talents. Make more money than either of them could on their own. The offer was risky, they could both stand to lose a lot of money, or make four times what their current wealth was combined. Luckily, Winston was a man of greed and accepted the offer without much hesitation. No risk was enough.
It only made sense that they two would become good friends, even buying large mansions in the same neighborhood. Their daughters, the same age, were forced into play dates. Luckily, the two were quite flighty and simply got along. They were in sync. In sync enough to grow up as the best of friends, attending Florence together and getting married.
All the meanwhile, Clyde’s father, Adrian, was promised to be the sole owner of the family’s large shipping company if he could find a halfway decent wife and finish his stay at Florence Academy. As much as he detested it, the New York City native attended the school in England. Claudia and Adrian, their day’s version of a Pretty Face and Handsome Eye, were rather cliché in their romance. It only made sense for the two powerhouse cliques to get along and marriages to form out of it. This, for example, was one. Adrian and Claudia were wed within weeks of leaving the school, retreating to New York City where the headquarters for his shipping company were. But, wherever Claudia went, her friend followed. The two women settled in the States. They had their children, Claudia produced a son for Adrian, Zachary Louis and then five years later had their second and final child On December 29th, Claudia Marie.
Amusingly enough, her good friend had a daughter on the same day. Yes, yes. They were pushed together and grew up as such. The two daughters, Salem and Claudia, were inseparable. They were put in the same tub for baths as babies and slept in the same bed as kids. They always chatter quietly together and were within thirty feet of one another. Oddly enough, both kids had strong personalities. Salem was definitely the louder one, the talker. Claudia was the motivator. She put things into stage. Unfortunately for their parents, both girls learned they could be much, much more than just friends.
At eight, it was proven. Claudia plopped down on the low wall near the lake at their home, dead silent, listening to Salem rant about something when out of the blue, she pecked Claudia right on the lips. Unprepared, Clyde snapped back and flipped over the wall, plummeting into the water. This was the catalyst. Come a few years later, the rush of hormones? They were all over each other, behind closed doors, of course. When they got shipped to Florence at sixteen-years of age, a whole new animal was born.
Clyde and Salem created the Misfits, a clique for girls “who are too rebellious to be a Pretty Face, and too troublesome to be in the Unloved.” It was a good system. Salem would’ve called them lovers at the time, but, Clyde wasn’t acknowledging the fact. While she was getting her clique off the ground, she got charmed by a Pretty Face. Oh, yes. One of the biggest enemies a Misfit could have. She tried to keep her relationship on the down low, but, Salem still found out and a large wedge was forced in their relationship. To make it worse, Zacharay, Claudia’s twenty-one year old brother, died on the docks after a freak accident occurred. She was left to abandon Florence, Salem in tow, to go back to New York and handle it all.
But now, she’s back with a vengeance. Throwing out the ‘new’ leader of the Misfits. Clyde is taking her title back and isn’t going to let it go without the fight. With Salem in the heartbreakers, they’re more at odds than ever. Don’t mess.
