She let out a whimper that sounded as if it belong to an animal and not a person. There was so much blood, so much she felt she surely should be dead by now. The pain was intense and most of it was her own fault. If only she’d been stronger.
Just let me die. She thought to herself. The paint was too much for her but yet she couldn’t escape it. She wanted to die just so the pain could go away. It wasn’t the physical pain then was making her just want to die but the mental pain.
She’d killed him. She knew it, that was why there was so much blood everywhere. She hadn’t meant to, she would never purposely kill Jason. Never. She’d never so much as hurt a single hair on him but he was lying there dead and it was her fault. If only she’d been stronger. Of only she’d left him when she knew that she was a danger to everyone around her. But she couldn’t leave him, not Jason. He was someone she would never be able to give up.
I should been strong enough to leave him. She thought to herself. The sadness going through her was overwhelming and she knew she was crying. She could feel the wetness on her cheeks but she couldn’t move to wipe them. She could only lay there and wait for death to take her. Gawd, what’s taking it so long? She wanted to scream out but she couldn’t talk. Couldn’t move. All she could do was lay there silently in a pool of blood from the man she had loved more than anything else in the world. Maybe some of it was hers but she knew most of it was his.
She heard a cold laughing ringing in the dark room. Just kill me already. She thought to herself, squeezing her eyes tightly. Please. The only answer was more laughter. A crazed laughter that she hated so much and just wanted to cover her ears and scream so that she wouldn’t have to hear it.
She opened her eyes again but it didn’t make much of a difference. The room was dark and everything looked blurry to her. Everything was just a hazy little outline.
“No. You won’t die. You haven’t suffered enough but I’ll make sure that you do.” The voice filled her head not her ears. He always spoke to her in her mind. He always read her thoughts, he knew all of her secrets. He knew every single person she cared about but that list was short. Jason had been the only one she had really cared about. She’d always pushed everyone away so no one ever got close. But he had.
There’s nothing else for you to take. She thought thinking about what else he could possibly do. No, don’t think about that. Then he’ll know. She ordered herself but she heard the cold chuckle filling her head.
There’s still a few other things. He told her and then she felt as he came closer. He yanked out the long metal piece that he had shoved into her rib case. She let out a loud anguished cry before everything began to spin and then went dark.
