As you all know there are many characters played by our users here on Fantasia, however, there are many characters that are not played by our users personally, more so by our members. They are major in appearance and have... unique personalities and backgrounds. Many of the characters (such as the headmistress and Mother Sophie) are important to the plot and it is critical how they are played. This is simply a list explaining the characters a little bit better.
A side note, members may play these characters as long as they play them correctly. Also, I know I should have put this up earlier, I just never got around to it. >.> Don't hate me too much. <3
The Headmistress
Our dear, dear, headmistress at Florence academy is (as many other headmistresses are pictured) very strict. Juilianne Swan isn't the type of woman to enjoy finding her girls covered in mud or grass stains, writing love letters during class, speaking foul language to another student or teacher, or breaking any rule of any sort. She has a passionate love for teaching and for the girls she teachers (not in a physical way at all!).
Not only is she strict toward the girls, but also toward her fellow staff members and maids. She wants nothing but the best for her school- as it seems reputation is always on the line.
Her style speaks just as her attitude and personality does. She has gray curly hair fixed up on the top of her head, and her dresses are quite modest.
As far as anyone knows, she has never had a husband or lover in her life and went to school here at Florence herself.
The Headmaster
Because we all know and love him, the Headmaster is much more laid back than the Headmistress. Jonathan Baxter is a quiet man toward the students, and leaves the classes to the teachers. He wants his young men to act like young men and works very hard to keep feminism out of his hallways. That never quite works- there are always a few that cannot be weeded out, so to speak.
All the same, he loves his job.
There is a Mrs. Baxter and she's young like him, coming from a aristocratic family. Her name is Cathene Baxter. He's young, still has a long life ahead of him and is obsessed with the history- especially the twentieth to the twenty first century. Something about them intrigues him. He's quite the scientist and is always tinkering around in his "lab" building plenty of new inventions. Time machines, he calls them.
Mother Sophie
**I understand that some people have already started to play her etc. etc. I won't ask you to change the posts, but please... "remodel" her as you continue to role play- unless you really have nothing better to do! :^D**
Mother Sophie, the "grandmother" to all gypsies; The witch doctor and spell charmer. Once a brilliant mind has, over the years, begun to crumble- just as her once lovely body is now slowly sagging and drooping. Mother Sophie travels with her "children" and is most at home here at Florence- well- so they say.
Mother Sophie knows of this second world, this realm, this... Fantasia and though her body is here on earth her mind is not. No, her mind has ventured to Fantasia making her vulnerable, and as most seem to think, a bumbling idiot. Besides the Pulchritude and Gate Guardian, she is the best source to tell about upcoming evils that will enter the world. Sometimes, however, people (not even her children) take her seriously as she speaks in codes and riddles and tells of dreams and strange creatures that are gathering in the woods. There are times when she speaks clearly but this is becoming less and less often and these times are shorter and shorter. These times come randomly and cannot be predicted.
She is a woman of impending doom, always able to predict the worst and not always able to help.
It is true, Sophie used to be tall and graceful, though now she is short and stooped, wearing a motley assortment of silks and velvets, wools, and cottons, covering her long, braided, gray hair and dark eyes- her skin wrinkling with age.
No one is quite sure how old she is, but it seems that she has been around forever.
As said before, she's insane, but her children care for her as if she is their only mother.
The Gypsy People
**If you want to play a gypsy make one, but if you're mentioning them then here is a quick outline**
The Gypsy people live in the woods, but they have a dark and twisted history that is slowly emerging in stories that they and Mother Sophie loves to tell. Perhaps they'll come up to the school and share this with them.
Though they're ready to help when there is trouble, it is simply because they don't want fingers pointed their direction. They don't like the school- as it nearly took "their" lands away from them, so, therefore, they do not like the students that go there. Though they let them into the camp they do so grudgingly- as the girls normally have jingling purses to steal from. Not even The Rebel girls are truly at home here as many of the others treat them with disdain.
Only Bryce is kind to them, simply because he knows them well, but he is like the others when it comes to other girls.
A side note, members may play these characters as long as they play them correctly. Also, I know I should have put this up earlier, I just never got around to it. >.> Don't hate me too much. <3
