Tashi was bored. The sun was shining down on the walled gardens, casting bright highlights and sharp shadows on her clear skin and shining iridescent off her delicate wings as she flitted about. It was a perfect day, the sky was blue, with only a couple of white fluffy clouds marring its endless colour, the grass was green, and, Tashi noted irritably, nobody bloody anywhere. It was as if the whole world had decided to stay in.
She didn't want to go into the huge building; stifling hot in the summer it was, and felt like that time she'd been trapped in that jamjar, slightly claustrophobic even for this bold little sprite. But out here was dead as anything.
With a gusty sigh, Tashi settled into a hole in the wall, folding her wings away and swinging her pink-fishnetted legs absently, a little spot of bright colour in the dull red-brown bricks, and waited for something to happen. It was toooo damn hot.
