((Lyss's fail title is fail.))
Screams ripped across the grounds as a young woman ran at full speed toward the large body of water. Her clothes consisted of a dark red tunic and a pair of 'borrowed' trousers. Her feet were coated in dirt that made them seem unattractive to look at. Her arms were flailing about as she fled to the lake like a hooligan. Her eyes were lit up in a way they hadn't been since she came to this dull school. She just needed her moment. The skies were a perfect blue that if you stared to long, it seemed you were going to float up there with the few clouds. Melody particularly tried to avoid looking at the sky because the clouds seem to resemble rabbits closely. A large splash sounded and the female vanished from sight. The water was very dark today, contrasting with the sky. The two opposites opposed each other, forever warring between the solid and the weightless.
Had Melody been a thoughtful person that was often staring at the nature, she might have been thinking at the shore, staring at the sky.
But she wasn't.
She resurfaced, gasping for air. Her hair was clinging to her face, giving her a wet dog appearance. Which is probably why she shook her head like a dog, sending droplets everywhere. Her hair now was even messier then before, straggling down her back.
Climbing back to shore, she smirked. After fixing her clothes and tucking her hair into her shirt, she dived in head first. Her eyes opened, stinging under the water. Under water plant life sway like wind, the sun making white patterns on their skin. Something darted away from her vision and she assumed it to a be a fish of some sort. Dots zoomed around her, making it apparent she needed air. Slow timing. Mel kicked with her legs and flapped her arms, the dots growing like mold. It seemed centuries before she finally broke the skin of the water, gasping like it was her first breath. She scrambled onto the shore yet again, ringing her hair out. Her toes scrunched up, sand sinking in between them. It was a pleasant feeling, making her feel more alive.
The walls were gone from her life once more.

Christia Aglionby♥T he day was beautiful. No one could deny that, with the light blue skies, and soft, puffy white clouds. The sun shone across the sky in brilliant yellow rays, the clouds blocking the most eye-harming rays from sight. Those who preferred rain might have had something to complain about, but Christia was not one of those people. In fact, she detested rain. However, she wasn't one to look around on such a lovely day and think about the beauty of it. No, the only thought going through her mind about the weather was that it was warm enough to go about without a sweater or cloak.
On this fine day the lady Chris was wearing a light purple, cotton dress that fell to her feet. It was a little short, exposing about an inch of ankle. She was sure her mother would have been appalled to learn she had kept the dress. It was old and too small for her, which is why her mother had ordered new dresses and gowns made for her two years prior. But then again, Chris didn't particularly care what her mother, or anyone at that wretched school, thought. She wasn't trying to make appearances, she was simply making a walk through the grounds, perhaps even going for a swim.
Chris had some of her brother's old clothes hidden away in the back of her closet that would have been much better for swimming. But, she didn't feel like pissing off the headmistress or governesses right at that moment, she wasn't in the mood to get punished. Besides, her dress was light, and she didn't mind it getting dirty, so it would work.
Her small feet made light thump sounds against the grass as she made her way toward the lake. She noticed with some interest that someone else was at the lake, and by his wet appearance, he had already been swimming. Chris smiled slightly, oh how she loved to flirt with guys. As she drew closer she realized it was not a guy at all, but a girl dressed in men's attire. Part of her was saddened by this discovery, but another part was soaring high. Another rebel, another friend waiting to be made.
With a wide smile, Chris picked up her pace and soon found herself at the lake. She pulled her shoes off and set them in the grass, making her way into the sand and toward the girl. "Hello, Luff." She said once she was directly behind her.

Water dripped off of her clothes, landing silent onto the sand.
Actually, it was a nice enough day to go deep into thought. Maybe delve into her mind or whatever. A life journey. She sighed, watching the water ripple from where she had clambered out.
The voice behind her stopped her train of thought like a mountain, making her senses go a tad insane. Melody leaped into the water again, submerging. Was that voice a teacher's? Or the headmistress's? Actually, now that she thought on it, it sounded very much younger then that wretched woman. Or a shriveled teacher. They probably weren't shriveled, but it seemed annoy them greatly. It was rather amusing to see their expression.
Okay, back to the scene happening in the now.
She drifted to the surface, the top of her face the only thing not in the water. It was a student after all. Damn, not on your game today, Melody. The young woman was in dress that seemed a bit smaller for her. And it appeared it had seen better days.
Melody removed herself from the water, climbing onto shore, shaking her hair like a dog. Once the excess water had been removed, she stood.
"Hello. Planning a swim of sorts?" She asked as she pulled her hair from her face. If she was the type to 'watch' the water, then it would be a bit difficult to talk to her without starting an argument. But... If she was planning to jump in, then a friendship might be in hand. 'If she doesn't mind your current clothes...'a voice in the back of her head echoed. Melody looked down at her male attire and smiled. Might as well show your true colors on a first meeting.

Christia Aglionby♥C hristia watched the girl jump into the water, obviously startled by her greeting. She closed her eyes as droplets of water splashed onto the shore, landing on her face and clothes, and laughed loudly. The laughter started as soft chuckles, Chris keeping her mouth shut in a snicker, but eventually it grew until she was bent in two, arms hugging her stomach. Tears began to form, sliding down her cheeks, and finally she straightened up, wiping the tears and water from her face. She continued to laugh softly, greatly amused that she had startled the girl.
The girl had a reason to be scared. If Chris had been a teacher, or wore, the headmistress, the girl would have been in serious trouble, and that wouldn't be funny at all. As it was, Chris found pleasure in torturing the girl, even if that hadn't been her intension when she had said 'hello'.
Though she stood upright, it took a few more moments for Chris to stop laughing. By the time her laughter had completely subsided, the girl had climbed back onto the shore, water dripping off her and into the sand. The girl shook her head, probably to get her hair out of her face, causing droplets to splash against Chris. She closed her eyes again, and wiped the water from her. "Thank you for getting me wet." She said sarcastically, although she had been planning to go for a swim anyways, so it didn't really matter. Still, it was annoying none the less. She didn't want to get wet until she jumped in, and getting splashed was never fun. Splashing others was, though.
"Yeah, I was going to go for a swim." Chris replied to the girl's question, then she noticed the girl look down at her clothes. "I would have preferred to swim in my brother's clothes, but I wasn't in the mood to get in trouble with the teachers. I'll be in enough trouble if I'm caught swimming." Hopefully that would let the girl stop worrying about how her attire was going to affect their relationship... if they did end up becoming more than just acquaintances. Although, at the moment they weren't even that, and Chris was still referring to her as 'the girl' in her mind.
"I'm Chris." She said, holding out her hand. Chris didn't really want to shake the girl's hand. For one, it was probably still wet, and wet hand shakes were just... weird feeling, like sweaty hand shakes. Two, Chris wasn't a fan of formalities, but shaking hands was something she had accepted. You have to choose your battles wisely, and hand shaking was not something worth fighting over.

Melody gave Chris the squinky eye for a moment as she laughed at her. Honestly, it wasn't very funny to her. Well, I guess if it was vice versa... At least she wasn't giggling. That would annoy her to no end. Or if she had one of those freakishly high voices that make your ears bleed.
The kind that you would rip off your own arm JUST to have something to hit her with...
Mel looked up at the girl. She was right, swimming AND in male clothes. "Might as well kill two birds with one stone. I used to swim in here all the time anyway." The young woman said, ringing out her shirt. Her clothes still dripped with water, making it hard to concentrate. The little droplets crawling everywhere. Ugh, the urge to get straight back into the water as soon as possible was very large at the moment.
"I'm Melody." She replied, almost rushed. She looked back at the water longingly. "are you going to get in by yourself?" "Or do I have to throw you in?" A smile crept onto her face. That would be fun. 'Don't ruin it.' The voice in her head whispered. I need a way to get rid of my conscious. It ruins everything, She thought bitterly.
Mel assumed that the introductions were over and started to walk away from the lake.
Once at least a few yards away, she ran full speed at the lake again. Jumping, Mel flailed in the air before plopping back into the lake. Oh, how surprised those fishes were. Good thing they can swim so fast, or one of the might have become a flying fish. Ah, how she missed those day that she would grab the fish by the tails and throw them into the air. Not to hurt them, but just for laughs as the squirmed as if they were grabbed by an invisible hand then dropped back into the water. It's strange really. They never seemed to die as the hit the water. They just returned home as if nothing happened. A fishes' life was simple really. Some didn't even live that long. But they still carried on.
There you go being all thoughtful UNDER WATER. Return to the surface idiot!
Mel slid back up to air again, looking at Chris. Once she got the hang of treading water again, she slapped the water in her direction. "The offer to throw you in is still available."
