Tap....tap....
That was the sound that the dark-haired boy was currently making with his shoes.
Tap....tap....
Over and over again. Elbow rested upon the glass table, chin seated upon his pale hand, and eyes threatening to close as they drooped. Dante hated these things, and no matter how many times he said it, his feelings couldn't be expressed any better.
It was all his mother's fault. That damned woman kept on talking and talking on and on, as if anyone really gave a damn. Her squeaky little voice could only be heard as yapping, or at least that's what her chatting sounded like to the boy. And all the while he had to pretend like he was interested, nodding his head once and awhile at the right times. Even though he wasn't listening, his sub-concious was---remember, he trained himself for these situations. So every now and then it told him to 'nodd' 'shake his head' go 'aha' 'smile' 'laugh' and all those things. It was a very detailed matter.
Something clicked. Where did his father go to? That man at least had something interesting to talk about when he spoke. Lifting his face from his hand, which now left a red spot from the pressure, he let his eyes search around. Waiting for a pause in Lilith's chatting, he broke in with a question.
"Mother dearest, where is Father?"
But before he could let her respond, he noticed the man in the corner of his eye. Turning his delicate face, Dante spotted him talking to his friend David...aka Dorian's father. Oh, so they were having a little reunion of their own it seemed. After all, David was the best friend in the Handsome Eyes and Zachary was the leader. The fruit didn't fall far from the tree it seemed. Ah, but it seemed their little conversation had ended, leaving with a good handshake and Zachary heading back to their little group. The man had a stern smile on his face, and came over right away to Dante.
"Boy, I have some news about your little friend Dorian."
Hmm? News that Dante hadn't heard? Well this was a suprise. He would be sure to take his anger out on his friend later for keeping him in the dark. But no matter, now he must focus on the present.
"What is it Father? Is it good?"
"Why certainly. After all, he is getting married to that nice young girl Ara McCarthur."
..............
WHAT?!
..............
Without even hesitation the boy was seen sprinting towards his friend.

Dorian watched as his father had rushed off to his see his good friend Zachary, and at this the young boy sighed. He knew that David was bound to tell Zachary about this, and then the news would of course get carried to Dante. And then, well, he knew what would happen; Dante would rush over to Dorian, drag him outside the tent, and yell. Of course, because that's what always happened. Besides, Dante had just told Dorian that he might like Ara, so why wouldn't he be angry? God, why was it Dorian who was the one who had to be ranted to?
And then, there was a voice right behind him, and with a turn of the head upwards, he scowled. Oh, how fun, it was Phillip who just happened to come by. Yes, one of Ara's friends were going to come by sooner or later to ask about the truth. And as soon as he had came, he was gone, leaving Dorian by himself with the two mothers. Oh, how marvelous! Gag me with a spoon.
And of course, the two mothers babbled on, non-stop talking as if they were best friends who haven't seen each other in years. Ugh, how sickening! It was almost suicidal to listen to them, but if he zoned out it would look bad for his image. So, he listened to them talk about the most drab things, and it was no wonder that only minutes later, Dorian was almost sleeping from boredom. Then his saviour came, thank God.
"Ah, sorry about that, I just haven't seen Zachary in such a long time... Dorian, wake up, are you sleeping?"
Thank goodness Father was here. "Of course I am," Dorian said, opening his eyes fully and looking towards him with a smile. He then glanced to the two mothers, and David quickly understood why his son was near sleep. "So, what did you and Zachary talk about? Your company, how you've been for the past--"
And as if David had read his son's mind, he quickly added, "We talked about your marriage." Spendid! Not. "Oh come on Dorian, you know that everyone is going to find out eventually, why not now, you know? It'll be more... easier when people are trying to get used to the fact that you're getting married."
If Dorian had a nickel for everytime David made something so horrible sound so pleasent... But finally, here was Ara, back with... Phillip. Ugh, the thought of him disgusted him, the snobby little Elite. Thinks he's so much better, oh yeah? Let's see where the two of them are in five years, let's see who's more successful with their life. But, with a sharp glance at Phillip, he turned back to Ara, giving that happy smile again. He couldn't let his act down, not now, not until the parents were gone. "So, Ara, how was your conver--"
And out of the blue, a familiar pair of footsteps were heard, and Dorian looked up only to see the one and only Dante rushing towards him, with an unknown look on his face. Hell, it could've been happiness or the look of death for all he knew. "Looks like it's my turn to leave the table," he said to Ara, standing as Dante arrived at the table. He still had his smile on, looking at Dante as calmly as he could. "Ah, shall we go outside the tent, then?" he asked, already knowing why his friend was here.
No good could come from this.

Victoria gave her the strangest look as Phillip stalked off, but remained silent about it as she continued to chatter with Gloria. “And I found the perfect dress for her the other day…” By this point Ara had completely zoned them out; she didn’t need to hear this, any of it. Her mother had no idea that she would never wear that dress, at least not to walk down the aisle to Dorian.
Ara could see Dorian eyeing his father critically, and it wouldn’t take a genius to figure out what his Father had been talking about, the marriage. God, that word was getting so old. She really wanted to just get up on a chair and exclaim to the room ‘GUESS WHAT? WE AREN’T GETTING MARRIED! SORRY FOR THE INCONVINIENCE!’, but restrained. This was more than just a little yelling would do. Plus she had Dorian to think about; everything she did had to work around him as well.
She hadn’t been looking at Dorian when she sat back down, but his short sentence caused her to look up to see what the commotion was all about. Dante.
She could feel her pulse race, and she did everything in her power to look…normal. She didn’t know why she was acting this way, all she had done was dance with him once, that was it. She shouldn’t be worried if she looked fine at the moment or if he was making his way over here. “Have fun.” She said gently to Dorian as he stood to greet Dante.
Offering a smile to the Leader she took another sip of the cold tea, trying to train her ears to listen to their conversation. Maybe a little magic was necessary, but before she went to use it her mother spoke to her. “What did Phillip have to say?” “Oh, he just wanted to ask me something.” Bite of a sandwich, another sip of tea, and yet Victoria’s gaze was still not off of her yet. “Oh really…” “Yes, really.” “What was the question?”
Ara sighed, debating whether or not to tell the truth or not.
“Just about one of our classes.” “And he had to ask you now?” Ara shrugged, “It was important.” Important as a lie could be.
As if Victoria noticed Dante for the first time, she looked up cheerfully, “Hello! You must be one of Dorian’s friends.” Her Mother, without a doubt had the same smile as Ara did along with looks, and chose this moment to flash it. “Mother, this is Dante Yerami.” “Pleasure.” Of course it would be.

There he was.
The Best Friend of the Handsome Eye.
Dante's only friend.
Getting married.
To Ara MaCarthur.
And Dante didn't know whether to laugh or cry. But this was Dante of course, so instead he laughed. And he kept laughing. Coming up to his friend, the ebony-haired student patted him on the back, trying not to laugh since they were in front of people. But they probably thought that it was just a laugh from some joke. And oh boy was this a joke. Just last night they were having a conversation about the girl and Dorian had made an attempt to make fun of him when he mentioned his interest in her. Now it seems that a few tables have turned around, this beautiful day.
But then again, that didn't change the fact that he had said he was interested in her. And....When Dante is interested, he usually get's what he wants. Although now wasn't the time for that, so he made a last attempt to supress the giggles.
"Well Dorian, it seems you've found yourself in a pickle, eh? Too bad you won't get to marry that lovely Cicily that you've always dreamed about."
There he went again, teasing his friend at every chance he got. But this was the only way that Dante knew how to show effection, since to everyone else he either showed his fake side or his I'm going to f**king kill you right now side.
Clearing his throat a bit, the boy patted his clothing to make sure it hadn't wrinkled and walked in front of his friend, still facing him.
"So you want to go outside the tent. Alright, let's."
But before he could he was stopped by some lady that he wasn't familiar with. Hmph, one of 'Dorian's friends'. Psh, he was Dorian's only friend. But Dante had to act his gentleman side now in front of a lady. Turning around to face her, he gave a charming smile and took her hand, kissing it.
"And what pleasure do I have with meeting such a nice young woman as yourself?"
As he said this he darted his eyes to her face, trying to make out some familiarality. She looked a bit like Ara, it seemed. And there was the girl herself, standing next to her. Good, Dante never is wrong. She must be her mother, then, he assumed. Moving back up, he turned to Ara and bowed, smiling at her too.
"Ah, Ms. MaCarthur, you must be her daughter." He turned back to the mother in a flash. "How splendid, you looked so young I didn't know you had a daughter. It's an honor to meet you."
And like that turned back to the blond again. This time he face was a bit more...concerned. And that wasn't even part of his mask.
"I hear you're getting married to my dear friend Dorian...I'm so....Happy for you."
For some reason, he didn't like the fact that they were getting married....but he couldn't put his finger on it.

As Dante had approached the table, Dorian had immediatly felt something was... wrong. No, never would Dante act this happy, this giggly, this.. concerned? Was that a concerned look in Dante's eyes? Well well, looks as though this was going to be quite an interesting day indeed. It seemed as though Dante was a bit confused with the whole situation, but why? Maybe Dorian's friend really did have feelings for the girl, how funny. Who would've ever thought that a Handsome Eye would ever fall in love with an Unloved? Obviously Dorian's parents did.
But, besides that, Dorian had other things to think about, like the fact that Dante was here. His first comment seemed to be normal Dante, or at least normal to himself. Making fun of his only friend, how friendly indeed! Normally, if they were alone, Dorian would've retorted back, but not now, not when his loving Father was only a few feet away. So instead he smiled back, trying not to kick Dante for his 'amusing' comment. "How funny, Dante, you always have some very amusing jokes, don't you?" And he laughed, simply because it was the right thing to do (and since the previous night, he actually did have a dream about Cicily, but he wasn't going to say that). Because he was in enough trouble as it was.
Ah, going outside. Good, that's where he could explain everything, trying to prove that he wasn't trying to make any jokes. This was serious, Dorian couldn't get married to Ara! He had to tell Dante this, and who knows? Maybe Dante would have some brilliant plot to stop the marriage, and everything would work out! So then Dorian could marry... hmm, well this was going to be a bit hard to figure out. Who to marry... well, there was always Iris, considering she didn't tell who was marrying who. Besides, Iris was a good friend, who's to say she wouldn't be a good wife.
And what about Cicily, that dream couldn't mean nothing... But I'm still not going to marry her. Who knows? I won't. You might, she might be ni-- No, no, NO! She's an annoying, hot-headed brat, I do not like her, and I will never like her! That's final! ...Whatever you say...
God, sometimes Dorian's conscious really got on his nerves! While he was having this mind-battle, it seemed as though Dante had talked to Ara's mother and Ara herself. But now that he was done, it was Dorian's turn to make a move, so he quietly said, "Alright, out of the tent we go." And the two of them, walked, and hopefully, if there was some good person out there, everything would work out. And if not, them Dorian was about to feel the wrath of his best friend.
"Dante," he said quietly when they got outside, "first off, this is not my idea at all, it was our parents. This is an arranged marriage, but we're trying to get out of it, don't worry. Please, Dante, I swear to god that it was not my idea to marry Ara, you of all people should know that I wouldn't marry her, right?"

It was, without a doubt, one of the strangest, awkward, and yet enjoyable conversations of Ara’s life. Here was Dante, seemingly not the least bit angry, actually making some sort of joke with Dorian. She didn’t really listen all that closely, but did hear Cicily, and that was enough to make her chuckle. If only she was on talking terms with the girl.
She didn’t, however miss the blush Victoria received from the compliment from Dante. She couldn’t help but smirk, served her mother right. She was a married woman for heavens sake; she shouldn’t be looking at the younger men. Victoria opened her mouth to respond, but Ara had given her a glare which shut her up. Besides, Dante was talking to her. “Yes, sadly I have to say I am her daughter.” Her mother would have been offended if it weren’t for the smile on Ara’s face, or the fact that Victoria knew how these games worked. She did teach Ara them years ago, so why would she ruin the fun. “Thank you.” She said softly, at that moment wanting nothing more then to be out of this arranged marriage. “That means a lot to me Dante.” Offering a weak smile she ran a hand through her hair.
She wasn’t sure if she saw right, but maybe a look of concern wash over his face. She smiled on the inside, watching as they left, forgetting entirely to use her magic to listen. This was guy time, and she would respect that.
No matter how much she wanted to listen in.

The student smiled as he heard Ara speak. She always had a witty sense of humor, a bit sarcastic too. Chuckling at her comment, he gazed at her as he walked away with his friend.
"You're welcome."
And was pulled away. Standing outside of the tent, he noticed the seriousness in Dorian's tone and facial expression. The stupid fool, well, it's not like it was his fault. And what was so bad about marrying Ara? Dante could see why if the brunette liked another girl, but there was no reason. This in a slight way fumed him up a bit, but he didn't know why. It didn't matter though, since he had to deal with this poor pathetic soul.
Sighing, Dante found an abandoned chair and pulled it over, seating himself on it and crossing his legs. Looking up to his friend, he gave a serious look.
"Sure, I'll help you. As much as I like to joke, I'm not too happy about this marriage thing anyway. If you get married before I do, what kind of joke would that be?"
He snorted at that last sentence, glaring at his friend. Sighing for a second time, he changed the position of his crossed legs and now chose to cross his arms.
"Well, we have to figure out a plan. What have you got so far with that thick skull of yours?"
The ebony-haired boy chuckled, smirking at Dorian. Maybe his friend had come up with some idiotic plan. Something drastic or just plain stupid. This was always the case, he found. After all, Dante was the brains in the duo...And the brawns...and the looks...hell he was everything.

Dorian smiled, grateful that his 'good friend' was willing to help out. For once. Man, Dante wasn't the one who'd usually help out his friend, it was usually Dorian who was helping out Dante. Hell, was there even a time when Dante helped out Dorian? No, not unless there ws something in for him in the end. And although this counted as a moment that could benefit Dante, the Best Friend was just glad he was getting help. "Thanks Dante, you have no idea how much that means to me," he said with a smile. "I mean, I already have an idea..."
At that point, Dante had asked about if he did have any ideas, and Dorian was pleased to reveal it: "Well, we know that if we acted as though we hate each other now, our parents would be suspecious and probably wouldn't call off the marriage. So, we--well, it was really my idea--though that if we pretended to like each other, our parents would get off our backs. But, the next time they visit, or sometime sooner, we're gonna fake a fight, our parents will think we can't work together, and we're out of the marriage!" he said with a grin. "Pretty good for a 'thick skull', right Dante?"
He smirked at this, pleased with his idea. Hopefully, Dante would agree and actually think it was a good idea, for once. "The only thing you'd need to do is to pretend that we like it, and act like we're a real... couple in front of our parents... can't be hard for you, right Dante? Besides, you act everyday of your life, what's to say you can't act out one more thing?"
Suddenly, his thoughts raced back to what Ara and Phillip were talking about, and although he couldn't hear, he knew it wasn't good. Ara didn't want to marry him, and Phillip seemed extremely furious at it--even though it wasn't his fault! He knew that many people probably thought about this towards Dorian, but... he needed to know if everyone thought about this. Why? Because he just needed to know if he needed to 'change' or not.
"Hey, Dante," Dorian asked quietly, taking his gaze to the ground, "I know this is a bit... off-topic... but, how do you think of me? I mean, like a person, not as a friend? And please tell me the truth, this is important for me," he said quietly.

Ara watched them leave, and watched as it appeared that Dorian gave his explanation about the situation. This struck her as humorous and she found herself chuckling. Dante and Dorian were such good friends, yet Ara caught a sense of…leadership from Dante, almost like he thought himself higher, like most leaders did. It reminded her of the way Cicily acted and a small frown inched onto the corner of her lips. Were Ara and Cicily seen as the really close friends with no problems or as fake as the Pretty Faces?
Then arms wrapped around her, and lips were pressed against her cheek. “Word on the streets of London is that my little sister is getting hitched.” “Aaron!” Ara didn’t even remember standing up, hugging her brother, or crying. She hadn’t seen him in so many months, seeing as college kept him busy most of the time. “Hello darling.” And Victoria was there, hugging her son as well. “So glad you could make it.” “Did you know about this?” She had wiped the tears away now, and she was trying to be angry at her mother, but it wasn’t working. “Perhaps…” “Mother!” Her mother grinned, introducing Aaron to both of Dorian’s parents and everything went back to what it was moments before, except Aaron had pulled her aside. “Let’s talk.”
And they were making there way outside, actually passing Dante and Dorian, though Ara couldn’t catch anything for Aaron was talking to her. “So, who is this bloke?” She pointed to Dorian, and Aaron turned, obviously trying to figure out where to place him. They were out of earshot now, and Ara knew Aaron wouldn’t have a problem with voicing his opinion. “He hasn’t tried anything has he?” “No! Dorian and I hate each other.” “And you’re getting married?” “You think I had a choice? You know how mom gets when she thinks she’s right.” “Point. And what are you’re plans to get out of it?” “Well…you don’t think you could talk to her, could you?” He sighed, stuffing his hands into his pockets. Ara hadn’t realized what he was wearing before, a loose white shirt, tucked in to show off his lean figure, and black pants and shoes. His hair was a bit messy, but that’s how it always was. The Macarthur children were sort of famous for that, except Ara kept hers a lot tamer. “Ara…I can…but…I won’t make any promises…” “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Oh, and don’t mention that we don’t like each other.” “Why not?” “Cause we’re trying to pretend that we do.” He shook his head, a laugh coming from his mouth. “You get yourself in so much more trouble.” She grinned, reflecting the same smile he had on. “I know.”

As the ebony-haired boy listened to his friend's idea, he couldn't help but let out a snort. It was the most pathetic plan he had heard of, at least coming out of Dorian. This time of arrangement would never work out, after al, it would take way too long. If the parents had thought that the two loved each other, and just only had a fight, then they would do their best to try to patch things up. He knew how they worked, after all, he knew almost everything.
Putting a hand on his the brunette's shoulder, Dante looked him in the face with a dissapointed face.
"Look Dori-chan, that isn't going to work. They will just try to put you guys back together if you fight. You really have to look things through."
Sighing, he took his hand back and placed it on his hip, pausing to think. What would work? If this was Dante, he would've simply said 'no' to begin with. But Dorian and the pretty Ara girl didn't have that kind of power over their parents. Really, how did these people live? Anyway, they're only choice would be....aha...
Raising an eyebrow, Dante smiled and crossed his arms, looking his friend straight in the eye.
"You should simply find someone else you want to marry, and propose. Then tell your parents and they would certainly call off the wedding." He paused. "Only problem is, who are you going to find? Hmm?"
The pale boy laughed, thinking of the possible candidates he made up in his mind.
"How about Cicily, hmm? She would make a great tailor's wife."

Dorian glared at Dante, a bit angrily this time. Alright, so maybe if it were any other guy, Dorian might have gone a bit easier on him. But this was Dante we were talking about. Dante who was never going to agree with his ideas. Dante who always got his way, no matter what. The precious Dante who everyone just adored. And yet he wouldn't even say 'it's a good idea', at least, oh no. He had to shoot it down.
Just Like Always.
"Listen Dante, don't you think it's the best for now. There aren't any girls I like, at least not now!" Well, actually this was a lie. There were a few girls who had caught his eye, but there was one who he thought he actually had a chance with. Iris. But... she wouldn't want to go out with him, right? They were only friends, not lovers, what was he thinking? But still... "At least get where I'm coming from--I'm getting married to a girl that I don't like. If you were in that position--" He paused for a slight moment, "and you couldn't just say no, then what would you do, hmm?"
It seemed as though Dorian was going a bit haywire now, but it was the next comment that sent him reeling. "How about Cicily, hmm? She would make a great tailor's wife." It was so strange, this little comment, but with everything that was going on today, well... It made Dorian snap.
"Dante," he hissed, "first off, let's get this straight. I am NOT in love with Cicily, not in love with one single thing about her! You know that as well as I do, so can't we just lay off that damn topic already? And secondly, how dare you refer to me as a tailor? How many times have I explained to you that I'm not a tailor?" This was true, he had said this story thousands of times before to his good friend, but not once did he ever really listen. So he'd have to listen to his speech. Again. Too bad for Dante.
"Do you have any idea who created this suit?" Dorian asked simply, grasping Dante's own suit slightly between his fingertips. "Our company. And, what about your father's suit? Your mother's dress? My father's company. You know how your mother only enjoys wearing dresses once, and only once. Because of my father and his new designs, she's able to buy as many as she desires. You do realize that my company is the 'father company' of the entire tailoring business. With the simplest request, I can so easily make sure that no one in the Yerami family--or any family, at that--will get new clothing ever again, even if they do offer large amounts of money. And then what would you wear, old clothing? If it were to get ruined or wrinkled, no one would be willing to do anything. So, you'd be stuck with your own ruined suit, with no one to fix it except yourself. And if you needed a new one?" At this, Dorian smirked slightly.
"You'd be so screwed, Dante. So please, don't call me just a tailor--that's commoner talk. It may sound dumb to you, all high and mighty Dante, but trust me, we're so much more than we seem." There was a slight pause before he continued again, leaning up against one of the many poles that held the tent up. "So then, Dante, who were you thinking of setting me up with, besides Cicily?" he asked calmly, a smile playing along his lips. Oh, how he just loved annoying his friend.

This was starting to piss Dante off. How DARE his friend speak to him in that way?! Did he forgot who was the one in charge? Who was the more superior? That bastard, well, he would have to teach him a lesson. Smacking Dorian's hand off of his suit, he then dusted it off as it the brunette had infected him with germs. Growling, he instead took his friend by the collar and brought him off of the ground.
"And do YOU even have any idea who RUNS you?! Have you forgotten that my father is 'The Governor of London'?!" Dante laughed venomously, staring at Dorian straight in the eyes with pure anger. "With just my will, I could make my Father put your Father out of business for EVER! Friend or no friend, he can succumb utterly to my will!"
Throwing Dorian to the ground without the slightest care, he stepped over him, smirking
"How pitiful you look right now, Dori-chan." He hissed. "You don't stand a chance against me, so why even bother? And even after how kindly I've treated you, better than anyone else in the world. You should rethink your actions, and come to me with apologies."
Stepping away, he snorted, still glaring at the boy. Really, and he treated Dorian so nicely. His friend was really his only friend. As sad as that sounded. It caused Dante to fade a bit a little inside. Even as popular as he was, and even with his parent's 'so called love', he really had no friends. No love interests. No one who really cared about him. Dorian was his only friend, and with that he cherished him above all...but...Dante couldn't help but unleash his true emotions out on him, since he was the only one he could show them to. He needed someone to take his stress out on, and who better than the one would wouldn't leave him because of it?
Maybe, Dorian thought that it was Dante who held all the power. But that wasn't true. Without Dorian he was nothing. The pale teen was completely ruled over by his friend, and his friend didn't even know it.
Looking back at him, the ebony-haired boy sighed, and reached out his hand.
"Look, Dorian. Sorry I snapped, but you really piss me off sometimes. You have no idea how you act so out of your league."

By this point, Ara and Aaron had made it almost all the way to the lake before Aaron changed their path, leading her just barely into the forest. He leaned himself against a tree, reaching in his pocket and pulling out a small box. With one quick motion he had the cigarette lit and was holding out the container for Ara. “Thank you.” She said softly, taking one from him and just as fast as he, had it lit and was already blowing smoke out. Aaron simply chuckled at her, blowing smoke out towards the trees. “You’ve grown up so much…” he muttered, eyeing the cigarette that she held in her hand with perfect posture. “Thank you?” She said, chuckling. “Same to you.”
He shook his head, looking out at the gardens and the few groups of people that lingered there. Ara could see the curiosity in his eyes, the questions in his mind that he hesitated to ask. “Aaron…” “What was this plan, exactly?” He asked, turning his gaze back at her, only to be hidden again by a field of smoke. “We were going to fake liking each other, then fake a horrible fight, so that maybe they wouldn’t think we were right for one another.” She took a long drag of the cigarette, watching his expression change from calm to highly amused. “You think you can pull that on Ma’ and Pa’?” He laughed some more, shaking his head. “It isn’t going to work.”
Ara sighed, “What do you expect us to do? We only had a few minutes to figure this out…” “Did you ever think to talk to them?” “No…they won’t change their minds.” “Ara, you are their only daughter, they are going to at least take into consideration your needs.” “But it’s also Dorian’s parents; they wouldn’t pull back on a promise.”
There was another long pause as Aaron took a long drag of his cigarette. “Talk to them.” And there was no more to that.
Both siblings stood in silence for a few minutes the only sounds being heard were the chatting in the background, and the rustling of animals in the forest. It was like that until there were shouts and Aaron looked up from the ground, pulling the cigarette out of his mouth. “What was that?” Both of the Macarthur children peered around the tree to see the only two possible perpetrators to the crime. “Now, now, what is this about?” Aaron said under his breath, taking one last drag before dropping the cigarette to the ground, and crushing it underneath the boot of his shoe. Ara shook her head, shocked by the outburst between the two and the violence that she witnessed. “I’ve never seen them like this…” He rolled his eyes, “See how marriage makes people crazy?” This was returned with an elbow in his ribs and a thunderous laugh escaping him. “It’s true!” But Ara was already making her way to the two, the cigarette long forgotten back in the bushes and the smoke from her clothes and breath already removed. Aaron was right on her heels though, and by the time they had reached Dante and Dorian he was right behind her, his arm slung over her shoulders in a sort of protective measure. “Everything alright here blokes?”

Dorian winced as he was shoved to the ground, glaring up at his 'friend' as he began to yell. Crap, seemed as though he really did make Dante angry today. Well, he deserved it, he knows that Dorian hated being called a tailor, or a tailor's son at that. Probably because he wasn't... and we already know why. Ooh, and then the NERVE of that guy to just put out his hand to help as if nothing happened! Dante would sure get a mouthful when they got back to the dorms!
But, not here, there were people staring. He'd have to act as though he really did agree, so he took the hand and stood up, nodding towards him. "You know, I'm not the only one who 'acts out of my league'. You also don't have the nicest things to say, you know." But he smirked still, knowing that wasn't Dante's real fault. Of course, he did try to hold himself back, but Dorian knew that his friend really did have a hard time, with trying to keep that perfect posture and all. No wonder he had to lash out against him all the time... That was their friendship, though. Their strange, twisted friendship. And although Dorian sometimes questioned it, he didn't really mind it.
It was at that moment when Ara and some... blonde brat came along, and Dorian almost wanted to just ask them to go away. Sadly, he couldn't do that--the two were 'engaged', so they'd have to act nicely... but Dorian really didn't want that. He couldn't have that now. So what to do... Bingo.
Dorian smiled to both Ara and the little guy besides her--her brother?--and put out a hand towards the boy. "Ah, you must be Ara's brother, correct? I'm Dorian, your sister's... fiancé." With that, he turned back over to Ara, that fake smile still plastered on his face. "And yes, we're fine don't worry. I just... need to take a bit of a break, okay? You know, go out for a small walk, I'll be back soon. I think... I really just need some time to thin over this."
So with that, and a nod farewell to the small group, he walked off, no destination in mind, just wanting to get away from everyone, and this marriage... But how?
Little did he know that this walk would definitely give him a few more ideas.

Raising his eyebrow, the ebony-haired boy expected more of an outburst from his friend, knowing how hot-headed he was. But alas, as he looked to his side, he saw Ara and some boy who had a similar appearance to her staring at them. Pausing, he felt a bid of the blood in him freeze instantly. What if they had seen his real side??? Or more importantly, what if Ara had seen? That scared him more than anything. He had just started to get to know the girl, who seemed really nice, and was he going to lose her just like that?
Clearing his throat, Dante decided to act natural. Maybe they had just come in anyway...he hoped. Smiling at Ara, he glanced at the boy next to her, not saying anything as he waited for Dorian to finish speaking.
"Ah, your brother. I didn't know you had one, miss Ara. It's nice to know that I am getting to know you a bit more."
He chuckled at the last sentance, knowing that he was flirting a bit with the girl. She was cute, nice, had a mind of her own, and smart. What more could he want? It probably would'nt last long, but if they did have a 'fling' as they called it, it wouldn't be bad. After all, ther would be no trouble in getting her to like him. Who didn't like Dante? He was the most powerful, prestigous, gentle-man like, handsome, and wealthy guy in the school. Girls through themselves at him, and boys did so when no one was looking. Yup, it was nice to be him. But then again, things aren't always great. He was unhappy, through all of this greatness. Even though people liked him, they didn't know the real him, so it was like they loved another person. In other words...nobody loved him. But he just brushed that off, since he hated people who felt sorry for themselves. Dante should be thankful for what he had.
Saying goodbye to Dorian as he left, he glanced back to Ara, hoping to start a conversation.
"So, miss Ara, I would really like to get to know you more. It seems that we hardly know eachother at all. We've barely even talked, being the dance the only real time. You seem nice, after all."
He gave a glint in his eye that showed he was interested. This should make her happy, he thought.
Really, this guy was so full of himself.
