Shimazaki Hayate as played by Yamada Takayuki.
Appearance:
(I had trouble with description this time. x.x)
Standing at at 169cm and weighing a grand total of 50kg, Hochi is a very slender and willowy lad with a charming smile that makes girls weak in their knees. His unruly, shaggy main of black silk falls over his eyes of earth; deep and brown with warmth. Hochi’s skin is porcelain-like and smoother than any marble and his facial structure dainty, yet strong with the weight of a wisdom which source is unknown.
Fair is the young Hochi, but worked and paint splattered are his hands from there constant attendance at the canvas. Something is always under his nails and he often finds a stain from one thing or another on his uniform. He is forever laid back and at peace. This is to say you’ll never catch him fretting about small things like his tie being crooked and this often shows as he can being seen running off with a sketchbook in hand inhaling deep the fresh air, his uniform flopping in disarray about him.
Personality:
Spending most of his time off in another world, Hochi is often found engroved in his thoughts or creating some never before thought of masterpiece. However, when not possessed by his muse, Hochi is extremely social, talking to and befriending everyone from staff to students to gypsies. It’s no wonder afterall as he’s a borderline Virgo and Libra as he was born in 3131 on Spetember 22.
Perhaps what makes Hochi so likable lies in his overall caring persona… He doesn’t try hard to please anyone, but yet he always has the right thing to say. He is always there to lend a hand to the down-trodden and kiss the tears of the cheek of pretty face. He can relate to just about anyone and can have a enjoyable conversation with lonely geeks to eager rich girls. Maybe he’s just what you would call a “people person” and it all flows naturally. The world may never know….
When not being social or absorbed in his work however, he wanders. Hochi is always wandering which often gets him in to trouble, but it doesn’t bother him much as he doesn’t sweat the small stuff and often is blown off into the wind soon after being scolded or hell, perhaps right in the middle of it. All that aside, Hochi is a really good kid with a kind heart, a brilliant mind, and an odd wisdom for his youth.
History:
Hochi hails from the land of the rising sun, where his parents work as doctors; though his parents make very little for doctors, as they care more about their patients than the pay. However, they make enough money to keep their practice up and feed and educated their two children of which Hochi is the oldest; the younger being his little sister, Shimazaki Hisa (13 to his16).
Both children were raised to appreciate what they had and we’re the brightest and the best in all classes they took and both inheriting their parents’ kind nature and social aptness had many friends. However, each wanted to go to higher school for different things. So as where Hisa wanted to be an acupuncturist… Hochi had ambitions of being an artist and though his parents were concerned that it would go no where, they knew it was what he loved and it was his choice. So after much hard work, they allowed Hochi to go Florence’s Acedemy for the Young on the full-fledged scholarship he earned for it with the pocket money he had received for working as a waiter at a restaurant, hoping for the best.
Upon arriving at Florence, Hochi found amazed at the doors that had been opened for him. Completely satisfied at his choice of schools, he enjoyed all of his studies and indulged in even those that weren’t art. He also discovered himself making many friends of all sorts, which didn’t surprise him too much. However, so he had become a leader of many wandering, friendly lads like himself, being dubbed lead nomad by the high and mighty students with rich families. Of course, that didn’t bother Hochi as he was friends with most of them or at least on kind speaking terms. And that’s what we’re left with…. an artsy wandering lad.
