I'm a man of wealth and taste...
Appearance: Adrienne has always appeared withdrawn to those around her. Her aura emits a rather shy and focused persona. The long dark hair that surrounds her shoulders is most often in massive curls. However, at home, her mother (whose strict ways brought Adrienne up) forces her to pull her hair back, either in a low pony, or into a chignon. Loose hair may as well be a brand of promiscuity, according to her. As for the eyes-the dark, soulful eyes-they are often bright, but distant. She stands at 5 foot 5 inches, short nor tall, with a petite waist. Aid's modest demeanor gets her ridiculed by some of the girls, the Pretty Faces and the Heartbreakers. Her weekend attire normally consists of fitted, floor length dresses in several shades. She needn't have an abundance of fashions, seeing as their only opportunities to indulge in them are Saturdays and Sundays.
Personality: Aid's shy exterior is just a mask to those whom she has no acquaintance with. Why gratify them with her innermost thoughts when she cares not what they think of her? That's the mindset she sees as most valid. Her friends seem to enjoy this quality in her. It makes her come off as somewhat mysterious, yet untroubled. They find it quite amusing, seeing as they know the real her. One of her least favorite traits in herself is that she has always found it difficult to trust people, as well as keep herself from judging them.
For example, she despises when girls find it necessary to throw themselves at boys, just to have some inkling of endearment. But secretly, she has also always been jealous of how confident and forthcoming they are. Adrienne has never found it easy to just let go, and free herself to feel whatever her body wants her to feel. She is constantly forcing herself to feel what is said to be the 'correct' way. Kind, but not a pushover, determined, but ambition-less. In this day and age, women are seen as a tool, something used to help the men fulfill the goals that society has put on them. Adrienne has always hated this notion, as I'm sure many ladies do. However, the household she was born into may as well be the perfect example of what this civilization has strived to become.
One of Adrienne's strongest desires is to fall in love. Not only to fall in love, but with a man who will regard her with some equality. One who will love her for her disposition and heart, rather than what she can DO for him. How she will assist him in gaining what will surely make him seem accomplished. Oh how people would ridicule her if they knew of her dreams. Therefore, that little secret is kept most discretely.

I've been around for a long, long year...
History: Bezelton and Anaria were married by arrangement, as many are. The two have always had a very set in stone way of life. They lived identically according to the way things were done. Mr. Lewis has, and will always be the leader of the house. Anaria has no actual say, and she is pleased by this. She lives to serve her husband, and has never understood her daughters dislike for the situation. Bezelton serves as the political advisor to several renown businessmen and viceroys. His success in this business has made the Lewis' a wealthy family. Their large home in the country is very tastefully made up. As a child, Adrienne never felt quite at home in the manor. She was most commonly found alone, playing her piano, somewhat cut off from the world. Her mother fretted over her, and was always pushing pointless activities at her. Eventually, she gave up, and until Adrienne made some friends in society, she seldom spoke with anyone. However, upon her brothers birth, she grew ecstatically thrilled to finally have someone in the house with whom she could converse.
Until Chandler came of the age where you could somewhat intelligently speak to him, Adrienne was practically pinned to her piano. Everyday, for hours on end, she played, and eventually sang. Lullabies, ballads, harmonies; anything she could get her hands on. Music has become her companion over these many years.
Once she was of age, her mother and father sent her away to Florence's Academy for the Young. Things did not change as dramatically as Adrienne had longed for. She had hoped to find someone to indulge her secrets upon. Someone to prattle on with, who would find her humor entertaining, and who would be equally as thrilled to have a friend. However, it is disappointment, and not fellowship that Adrienne has really come to know well.
Family: Her father, Mr. Bezelton Lewis. Her mother, Mrs. Anaria Lewis. Her mother had two miscarriages before Adrienne, and then proceeded to wait eleven years before getting impregnated again. Chandler, Adrienne's younger brother, is but six years old this spring.
Anything you'd like to add? Adrienne finds herself unsure of where she fits in at school. As a Floater, she doesn't know where to go, who she connects with, and it makes her crazy.
