ooc:// xDD yeah. she's like a yippie lap dog. >>
Clyde's hope was at first reward as Lizzie deepened the kiss, but reality dawned when she broke it. Looking horrendously embarrassed and regretful. Clyde's mind instantly cleared, as if Lizzie's contact was what caused her mind to cloud up. Her chest relaxed and no longer felt constricted. She let out a breath, clearing her throat and trying to compose herself, successfully doing so after a small quiver ripped through her body.
"You can belong to more than one place." Clyde said, moving and kicking the door open while the carriage was still going. She looked at Lizzie. "Regret it yet?" She motioned to the open door.

"No, you can't. Not in the society we live in. It's only a dream to think otherwise," Lizzie replied with only the barest hint of sadness.
Supremely shaken, she somehow managed to force a smile. "Not yet," she half-lied, "but I suspect I soon will, particularly if you plan on jumping out of a moving carriage."

Clyde watched her with a frown. "and that's why you aren't a misfit. You care too much about society." She blinked at her, glancing at the open door. Her jaw jutted out in thought, "I could do it." she said simply, looking back at Lizzie before getting up and leaning out the door, hanging onto the frame and looking outside. She pulled back in and looked at Lizzie, "If I break an ankle..." She paused, "...I might want those cigarettes back." With that, she placed a foot on the wheel well, swinging a leg out and kicking the shut, using the window sill to climb up where the driver was. Muttering and cussing all the way.

"It's only sensible," Lizzie retorted, and then, seeing the look on Clyde's face, added acidly, "not that sense gets a look in around you. I didn't mean..." She practically jumped out of her seat as Clyde started to climb out, catching her head a good wallop on the roof of the carriage. "Oh no! Hell no, Clyde! Never mind your ankle, you're going to break your bloody neck!"
She slammed the door wide open and leant out, keeping a firn grip on the sides of the doorframe. "You're an idiot! A bloody suicidal idiot!"

Clyde stopped, looking back at Lizzie with a grin, sliding back down and standing in the doorway. Looking at her. "Yeah. I'm a fucking idiot. I'm a suicidal moron. But atleast I'm not..." She stopped, jaw shifting and shaking her head. "Go ahead, slap me." Clyde offered casually. "It's what you want to do, face it. infact, no, punch me." she leaned in closely to Lizzie, "i've crossed too many lines for just a slap."

Scowling, Lizzie took a step back into the safety of the carriage. "No. I'm quite alright, thank you. On the other hand..." She reached into the coat and took out the cigarettes, selecting one at random and grinding it between her fingertips, effectively shredding the paper and scattering tobacco and scraps of paper on the carriage floor.
"You're insane," she said simply, and replaced the packet. "but I'm not going to ruin the night before it even starts."

Clyde stepped in, shutting it behind her and looking at her, sitting down and watching her. "Insane? Isn't insanity just a matter of perspective?" She raised her eyebrows in question at her. The smell of tobacco was faint in the carriage, but she didn't care, dragging her foot across the floor, further crushing it into the floor of the carriage and watching Lizzie.

Lizzie raised an eyebrow. "Fine. But from my perspective, you're so far around the bend you couldn't see sanity on a clear day." She examined her nails thoughtfully, more a nervous reaction than anything else. "Not that it matters, really, as long as you don't get yourself killed like that," she conceded grudgingly.

Clyde laughed, "Wouldn't you prefer someone who kept you on your toes instead of being boring and predictable?" She questioned, tilting her head at her. "I would. More spontaneous, the better." She stated with a strong nod, arms folded across her chest.

"Not to the extent that I constantly feared for their life, no, not really." She stared out of the window, snow on the sill outside already covering the marks of Clyde's little stunt. "Call me boring, but I rather like returning somewhere at the end of the day without having to check that you haven't flung yourself off a moving train or whatever it is you do for fun."
She had to laugh at Clyde's expression. "Then why waste your time with someone as sane...I mean, boring as me?" Her eyes sparkled with new life.

She laughed, "Didn't know you cared that much." She thought it over carefully, glancing out the window. "Just because I prefer something doesn't mean it's good for me. I'd die within a week if I was spending an overly large amount of time with someone insane. I mean, look at me and Mei." She pointed out with a smile, leaning her head back.

Lizzie grinned. "That's kind of true. You and Mei locked in a room for more than a couple of hours really could result in a casualty." She leant her chin on her hand again, tapping her knee with one finger. "You have a lot of insane friends, really. I take it the trick is to circulate company?"
There was a loud bang on the roof. She looked up in some surprise.

Clyde shifted uncomfortably in the seat. "She's actually my only real friend." Clyde murmured, looking up at Lizzie. Glancing at the ceiling at the thud. "What do they say? Speak of the devil and he shall come?" She moved to open the door and step back, sitting next to lizzie to deflect mei away from her and prevent injury.

"Then you're in no better of a position than I am, really, are you?" Lizzie remarked, shifting along to allow Clyde room.
Mei somersaulted in from the roof through the door, wearing her usual excitable grin. "Hello Leader! We is near in town and ghost-girl has saying why you is with Pretty Face? She is being Pretty Face? Hello Pretty Face! Ghost-girl has saying voice is telling she that Pretty Face and you has kissing! You has kissing?"
Blinking slightly at the onslaught, Lizzie pushed slightly into the corner as Mei hopped cheerfully onto the seat opposite them.

Clyde glanced at Lizzie, saying nothing and remaining expressionless until Mei jumped in. "Who's Ghost Girl?" Clyde asked casually, watching Lizzie shrink back, sitting forward incase Mei lurched again. "and we have not been kissing, mei." she corrected the girl.
