It was definitely too early in the morning for this.
Teaching first period? Hell no, Demetrio would rather be sleeping than teaching. Then again, it was his job. It was what he was paid to do. But that didn't mean he had to enjoy it. So, with a lazy blink and some chalk in his hand, he was ready to teach his class.

Oh, goodie.
"Now then, we left off yesterday at the beginning of the Black Plague, correct?" Demetrio--no, Mr. Bevoretti--began, writing a few things on the chalkboard. He smirked slightly, turning back to his students with a strange gleam in his eyes. "Believe me, this will be quite interesting to learn about, for all you violent students. But still, this is a very serious matter, for one third of the European population died because of it." The strange look was still in his eye as he looked at all of the students, a few groaning at the topic they were learning today. Mr. Bevoretti heard that, though, walking up to one of the groaning students and looking him right in the eye. "Of course," he said coolly, "it's not like it was Europe's fault we all got sick, oh no. We got sick by incoming merchants from Asia. And how did the merchants get it here? By the rats that were stored on the caravans they traveled on. And how did those vile, disgusting rats get it?" He grinned slightly, walking away from the kid and back to the chalkboard. "The rats got it from little fleas, that are always hopping around the place and live everywhere--probably in this school too. So just stay away from fleas, and you won't die a horrible death with boils and rashes and horrible itching."

As he continued to "drone on" (as some might call it), he watched some students take notes (probably the Brains), and some fall asleep as well (maybe some Love Struck), and he couldn't help but to let his eyes wander around to some of the students. Of course, it was quite obvious that some of them were very attractive, and definitely appealing to the eye. Lucky for the girls, probably swooning over them all day. Tch, how annoying. That's one of the reasons why he could never really "love" a female--they were too squealy. And girly. And they gossiped too much. And they...
Well, they just weren't as great as males.

Suddenly remembering that he was here to teach and not to look upon the handsome students, he paused in his little speech, glancing around the room once before smiling slightly. "Now then, are there any questions before I continue? Don't be shy now--there's going to be a test later this week about this, and I don't want you all complaining that you 'never learned it', so just ask away."
Of course, the test was only a bluff--he just wanted the children to actually participate and actually learn something for once.
Shocking, no?

Leaning back in his chair, his eyes fixed on the rather handsome teacher, Viktor raised a lazy hand. He had been making notes, but mentally rather than on paper; using his excellent memory, he could easily have repeated back most of what Mr Beverotti had been saying, despite the fact that for a large proportion of the time he had been looking around the classroom and making a mental list of who he'd already slept with, who he'd like to, who he wouldn't touch with a bargepole and who he would really, really like to see naked (Mr Beverotti came about third on the latter list).
Anyway, he raised his hand, that's the point. And he did honestly have a serious question. Probably.

Snow.
Over the gothic structure that stood mighty, small attackers assaulted its rocky walls. There icy hands reaching out to grasp anything in its way; their numbers made defense impossible. They climbed higher, urged by the push of air on their backs, the little regiments moved swiftly. Frozen fingers grasped steel and stone; a sheer, lucid coloration formed as they overpowered the temperature of their foe. Suddenly and without warning, all was white. Crests formed over hilltops, though only slightly, for mother earth would surely defend herself. Below the frozen landscape stirred the dragons’ breath, ever warming its home to ward off such cold soldiers as these. Emerald eyes watching their movements from below...

Snow?
A hand raised to ward away a tired sight, the young man peered out the window of his room. It was true; this frosty chill on his skin had not been a dream. It had, in fact, snowed during the night. Yawning, the male stepped out of the bedcovers. “Nng... it’s too early to be cold.” He mused, shuffling to the bathroom. Mornings were generally the same every day. You woke up, washed up, got dressed and ran to breakfast if there was any leftover time. Even with the snow, this was simply how it went along.

Keeping a watchful eye out the window for any signs of more bad weather, he slid out towards his dresser, quietly mumbling to himself of the temperature. He was ready within a few minutes, and soon grabbed a coat before heading out the door –books in hand- to class. Though the coat never did seem to make its way onto him; rather, it’s been hung back on the wall where it had been only moments before. He simply didn’t feel like fussing with it.

Everyone had been babbling about the history teacher, everyone being the female population, and his lectures. However, Gabriel Alexander took no interest in /lectures/. Why would he need to know to political system of ancient Rome, anyway? Grudgingly, he climbed up a set of stairs towards his destination. And realized he was late.

Quietly, in an attempt to hobble into class without anyone noticing, Gabe took a seat and acted as if he had been perfectly on time. ‘As long as he didn’t see me, I should be fine...’ Eyeing the chalkboard, he soon realized what the class had been going on about in his absence.

If only he knew /something/ about the Black Plauge...

The pale boy sighed, while all the more diligently taking notes on this history lesson. History in particular bored him to death. Who wants to know about the past? Dante hated the past more than anything...And for good reason too. He, on the other hand, was much more interested in learning about the future, if only. That was the only thing he could look forward to.

Looking up, his eyes traced down the long body of his...'history teacher'...yeah right, more like his reason for 'amazing grades'. Since Dante always hated history, he had never done really well, even with his amazing brain. It just never 'clicked'. Well, thanks to his new teacher Demetrio,that was all...in the past.

His eyes still tracing, he let them leave and turn back to his notes. Black Plague, yadda yadda. How boring, who cared about millions of people dying in the past? This was the present, and the ebony-haired boy thought that it was the present that mattered much more.

Smirking to himself, he took more notes, and then raised his hand to amuse himself. Waiting for Demetrio to catch his eye, he sat there patiently, thinking of what he had to do TODAY after class with his teacher.

Demetrio was actually pleased to see that some of his students had raised their hands, quickly making a list in his head who was to go first. "Alright, first you Mr. Opinar, then Mr. Chetsverg, and then you, Mr. Yerami, just ask right after Mr. Chetsverg does." Ooh, just saying the word 'Yerami' sent shivers down the teacher's spine, and for good reason too. The boy hadn't been doing too well in history, and Demetrio had asked him if there was anything to do to help. Well, Dante sure did show him that he could learn, but maybe just not in the way most would think.

Quickly shaking the thought of his 'favorite student' from his head, he turned back to the speaking student, who had asked some stupid question on how the flees had gotten the Black Plague in the first place. "Not a bad question, Mr. Opinar. Sadly, I'm not quite sure what the answer to that is, you might have to look it up, or ask someone who is an expert on flees. Anyway, Mr. Chetsverg, what was your question?"

Mr. Bevoretti turned to Viktor to give him the "okay" to speak, but not before his eyes trailed over to the blonde that had just walked into the room, quite fashionably late at that. He rolled his eyes slightly, and before Viktor got the chance to speak, Demetrio oh-so-nonchanlantly stated, "Glad you could come to class, Mr. Alexander, for a second I thought you disliked my class." He flashed a quick smirk before looking back over to the... quite attractive red-haired Russian boy.

Ooc: Yeah, it's short. But what do you want me to do--make another lecture while students are raising their hands? D: *dies* And yes, Mr. Opinar is made-up--deal please. =D

It took Viktor a moment to remember what he'd meant to say. Then he cleared his throat, knowing what he was about to say would sound very much like showing off.
And maybe he was.
A little bit.
But really, what was the point of education if you didn't use it?
"I actually have three questions, Mr Bevoretti. I read that although the buboes and pupora were similar to symptoms of bubonic plague, it was more likely to be a strain of a disease still dormant in rats today. If that's correct, what would you say are the chances of another pandemic?"
He paused a moment to allow the teacher time to digest the flurry of words, and then continued, "Also, could you explain how Britain managed to regain the economic foothold that it must surely have lost quite significantly due to isolation and severe reduction in numbers?"
Viktor Chetsverg was no fool when it came to matters like this. However, in acting like this, he was taking something of a risk. There were two ways this could go. If the teacher didn't know the answer and didn't like admitting defeat, all Viktor's chances of flirting went out of the window. On the other hand, if Mr Bevoretti was impressed, it might easily be used as a foothold to higher (or lower) things.
"And Sir, what do you think the term Black Death represents? Popular opinion states it's due to the discolouration caused in the later stages of the disease, but I've been wondering if it's related to despair, as in 'the blackest depths of'."
As he spoke, Viktor shifted forwards, leaning forwards on his desk, the picture of an interested student. As he thought pleasurably of exactly what was interesting him, his other main thought was something like thank God for over-enthusiastic private tutors.
It was obvious from the way Dante and Mr Bevoretti looked at each other that Dante was...rather better aquainted with the teacher than Viktor. It didn't bother him. It would be ridiculously hypocritical for him to oppose infidelity, and in any case getting taken people in the sack was something of a speciality of Viktor's.

Oh dear, it seemed as though one of his students was actually paying attention today. What a shocker.

Of course, Demetrio would have never expected a student to ask these sort of questions, especially since this was a history class, and not a class about diseases. But, he was quite sure he could answer these questions, so… here goes nothing. Right? What’s the worst that could happen—his students laugh at him for not knowing a few science questions? Bah, he could live.

“Well, Mr. Chetsverg, those are some good questions, I’m actually surprised that you asked them,” he said, flashing a grin before answering. “There are only specific symptoms of the Black Plague, and although buboes and pupora were similar, it doesn’t mean that they were, in fact, symptoms. But, there are some theories that there are some rats that do still hold the Black Plague itself, and can easily pass it onto humans if given the chance. An outbreak can occur if a large amount of rats are placed in a large area of humans, so yes, it could break out again. I’d highly suggest staying away from rats in the first place, because they might have other diseases as well.”

Round one: Demetrio Bevoretti!
And rounds two and three would be even easier.

“Britain was able to get its wealth back very easily, actually. You see, right after the Black Plague outburst, people started to look at life in a different way, and wanted to live everyday as their last. Painters would try to paint how people lived to show the world their superiority. These paintings had started a revolutionary change—also known as the Renaissance. Of course, though, we’ll into that more a bit later, but the Renaissance was the one thing that allowed all of Europe to rebuild itself.”

“As for your last question, I actually agree with you, Mr. Chetsverg. You see, since almost everyone in Europe was dying, it was highly probable that at least one member of each family would die from the Black Plague. So, they would all wear black to mourn the lost one, so practically every person was wearing the color black. Also, the boils that would appear on the victim of the plague were black, so that might have been another reason for the name of the Black Plague.”

The Italian smiled when he finished, nodding his head towards Viktor. “Those were some very interesting questions, Mr. Chetsverg. I’m happy that you’re asking some legitimate questions, unlike some of the students in the classroom.” And with that last comment (and another grin towards the redhead), he turned back to Dante, the smile on his face trying to show (but of course, Demetrio wouldn’t allow that). “Alright Mr. Yerami, what did you want to ask?”

Viktor grinned. "Really, Mr Bevoretti. I'm more than just a pretty face. There is a brain in here somewhere." He leant on his elbow and listened to the answers. Well, sort of half-listened. Quite a lot of his attention was focused on the Italian man's lips as they moved. And Mr Bevoretti did have a rather lovely voice...He shook himself out of his daze as the teacher finished, and gave a small smile in response to his comment. Then he tipped back again, hanging over the back of the chair as he carefully watched the way Mr Bevoretti interacted with Dante. It seemed as though he could stand to learn from his fellow Handsome Eye.

He listened to the almost tennis like conversation from Viktor to Demetrio. Back and forth they spouted questions and answers, almost like it was some game, and he wondered who the winner would be. Raising an eyebrow, he waited patiently, until the boy was finally called on. Sighing inwardly, he put on a smirk, and let his instincts do the talking.

"Sorry if this is off-topic, or if I'm interrupting this little...'chat'...but I was wondering if there was any homework due?"

Inwardly he was laughing, but he never actually laughed in real life. Sure, now and then when the moments were appropriate he would give a chuckle, to give off his kind appearance. But he never actually 'laughed'. Well, he laughed in front of Dorian, but that didn't count.

"I mean, I have been noticing not much work lately, so is there going to be a project or some...extra credit?. Please don't make it too hard."

Oho, Dante really just wanted to have some fun and mess around with the guy. It was such a boring class and he needed a way to amuse himself. Why couldn't this be it? It's not like he paid attention anyway, or did any work. He had all his grades taken care of...

The Italian teacher listened carefully to what his "favorite student" had to say, getting prepared to answer a question about the plague... but that wasn't going to happen, was it? Oh no, apparently the ebony haired boy had something more... interesting to say. One day, that kid will be the end of me, he thought to himself, listening to those words just fall right out of his mouth. Really, the way the child spoke was just so... enticing... probably no other person except himself understood what he was trying to say.

Hopefully.

"Ah, no, it's completely fine, Mr. Yerami. No, we aren't having any homework or projects due--at least not this week. As I mentioned earlier, there is going to be a test on the Bubonic Plague later this week, and I want you all to study your hardest. But, I will be holding... private tutoring after class for anyone who wants to get some extra help, and I really do suggest it."

He flashed a smirk before continuing. "The test is actually going to be a bit difficult, so I suggest reading the textbook as well..." Demetrio smiled, knowing there would be at least one certain boy attending this tutor session. And maybe the redhead would come too.. he sure did seem 'interested', anyway. At least he was giving the right signs... or maybe Demetrio's perverted mind was just taking them in the wrong way.

Nevertheless, he was getting Dante to come to tutoring, so that was fine with him.
But another student wouldn't be bad.
Two students were fine.
Same with three.
Or four.
Or the whole class.

Anything worked fine for Demetrio, didn't it?

Hmmm. If Dante thought he was being subtle, he was, at least in Viktor's opinion, dead wrong. Of course, the Russian had gone into it already assuming that they were sleeping together, so he might be spotting signals that weren't, in point of fact, there.
Extra tutoring, huh? That sounded...interesting. Even assuming he was spotting things that didn't exist, an afterschool class would be a chance to spend more time with Mr Bevoretti. If they were what he thought they were, they would be even more fun.
He grinned. Viktor Chetsverg was one boy who was not going to be left out of what lay ahead.

*scritch* *scratch*

The talking seemed to stop. It was particularly boring, he thought. Taking his long and never cut nails, only bit at times, he scraped under the desk. It made a better noise than silence. He didn't like silence, not at all, but more than that, he feared loud sounds. They frightened him, since they were things he was not used to. Trapped in dark room all your life and that's what happens. Good thing it didn't drive him mad.

He was already mad.

Eyes permanently tightened open in a psycho stare, bags stowed under them from insomniac tendencies. Chudi was particularly bored with today's lesson. Seated, if you could say that, in his usual position he found himself staring out the open window. Everyday, in class, the boy would kick off those uncomfortable shoes that the grown-ups forced on him and climb up onto the chair, arching his back. Toes free and tapping over the wooden seat, the Filipino was ambidextrous so he liked to switch hands when writing once and a while for fun. One hand would hold one pencil who's eraser tip he was currently chewing on, and the other would hold another pencil he would write with.

Today "Miles" took the opportunity to remove his tie that seemed to strangle his poor, fragile neck, and tied it around his forehead. Every now and then it would sway in-front of his eye-sight, but then with a quick swat it would move away. In classes like these, if the noise suddenly stopped, it would make the brunette nervous. Very nervous. After sweating irrationally, chattering his teeth, and twitching, he quickly would have to make some sort of noise to destroy this. Not too loud, as you remember, he hated anything loud. Loud noises did not only scare him, but they would make him angry. When Miles got angry, he lost all his senses and went out of control. Like a wild animal, you could say.

Sensing the incoming silence, Miles' eyes widened further, if possible, and he started scrapping some of the wood of the desk. Breathing heavily, he couldn't take it any more and started to growl. Imitating a doggy he had seen the other day, he quickly moved to quiet barking. This was fun, and a smile was quickly placed on his face. Ah, that doggy. What had happened to it? Oh yeah.

Walking in the park, Miles had recently been let out by the kind Doctor Taki for some fresh air. Of course though, like always, he had to be followed around, and this was annoying. Turning down to Miles with that fox grin of his, Taki spoke.

"Don't do anything rash today, like last time, okay Chudi-chan?"

"I knoowwww..."

Groaning, they quickly repeated their routine around the park. Shrugging off the Japanese man, he quickly realized that the brunette was distracted by something, so quietly, Miles slipped off into the bushes of the park. Laughing, Chudi skipped about in the fields, grabbing handfulls of flowers that were planted in the grassy areas. Ripping them out of their roots, he wondered what they tasted like, so putting them in his mouth he swallowed them whole. Eeew, they tasted like soot. Miles didn't like that. Spitting the rest out, the Filipino heard a panting sound.

Turning around, the boy saw a medium sized brown dog perched next to him. Gasping, the boy got exited and reached to pet the animal.

"Doggy!!! What a cute doggy. What's your name, doggy?"

But before he could, the dog quickly rejected him and backed away, proceeding to bark as loudly as it could.

It sent Miles to his edge. Clutching his hair, he yelled out, trying to make the dog stop. That stupid, stupid dog. Why wouldn't it shut up?

"SHUT UP!!! SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!"

THE FOLLOWING MAY BE DISTURBING AND HEART-BREAKING TO SOME VIEWERS. DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE A DIE-HARD DOG LOVER..well that gives it away...

Tears leaked out of the corners of his eyes, and, with his overly wide eyes, he spotted a grey rock seated to his left. Picking it up, he raised it over his head and rammed it over the head of the animal. With a loud slam, the dog quickly quited down, whimpering. But once Miles got started, he couldn't stop. Ramming it on the head, he did it over and over again until red liquid seemed all around him. Panting heavily, the Filipino forgot what it was he had been doing.

"Doggy? Play with me doggy?"

The animal didn't move. There was no breath, or even recognition in it's eyes. Kicking it, Chudi hoped to waken it.

"Wake up you stupid dog!!! I wanna play!!!"

It wouldn't wake up. Crying tears of frusteration, the boy hollared, and turned away. Finding his way back to the doctor, the Japanese man was wide eyed with fear. Running over to Miles, Taki clutched him by the shoulders.

"Chudi!!! Where have you been?!!"

Staring at the boy, Taki's dark eyes trailed over his cloths. Stepping back in horror, he clutched his mouth.

"Why is there blood on you Chudi?!"

Cocking his head to the side, Miles replied blankly.

"The doggy wouldn't play."

[Yuki]

After seeing that no other kid had a question, he continued on with his speech. "Right then," Demetrio started. "So, anyway, back to the plague..." And thus, the teacher continued, writing things on the board and sometimes randomly calling on students to answer some questions if they seemed as though they weren't paying attention to him. But of course, they were, they usually all were listening to Demetrio speak. Heh, who wouldn't? His voice was loving and sexy, he believed, and he could keep anyone in a conversation for as long as he possibly could.

And a lecture as well.

Finally, after what seemed like hours, he glanced down at the pocketwatch on his desk for the time. Oh, the pocketwatch... his prized possession. It was golden, and it worked as wonderfully as it did the day he got it, from Leonardo. It was supposed to be used for telling the time when they started to travel. Of course, the traveling part was never experienced, seeing that Demetrio's parents were shot and Leonardo disappeared the night before. Right, the Italian didn't deserve to have this good time--he was homosexual, and people like him didn't deserve happy endings. Ever.

But besides that... right, the time. Only a few minutes before class let out, thank goodness. Next period he would be able to rest a bit, and then he'd start teaching again, the younger students. Those weren't as fun as the elder ones, but he loved imagining what the kids would look like when they grew up.
What a sick mind the teacher had.

Hmm...

"Well then, does anyone have any last questions before class lets out, seeing as though it's almost--" Suddenly, the teacher stopped, glancing over to one of the boys and glaring slightly. Miles. It was always Miles, wasn't it? Gods, he just hated the child! So ignorant of the world, so horrible in class! But, it wasn't like he could do anything--the "mentally-ill" child was a genius. A god damned genius, and of course, the school wasn't going to kick out a genius.

But that didn't mean Demetrio couldn't not be mad at him.

"Miles," he said softly, keeping his tone easy and gently to not provoke the boy. "Can you please... put your tie on your neck and take your feet off of the desk--it's disturbing the class.

Having been lost in thought, the boy's eyes wandered around the room for a while, looking from the most uninteresting things such as a stain on the wall or a little bug scurrying across the floor. He licked his lips, that bug looked tasty. Then, as Miles realized that a voice had been directed towards him, he snapped his head hastily towards the host and cocked his head to the side.

"Diiiiiid yaaaa saaaay sooooome thiiing?"

Then, out of no where, he giggled rather abruptly. The teacher looked funny with the facial expression he was making. Maybe he would poke him? It would be even funnier if the facial expression got sillier when he did that. Miles contemplated on trying it, but then with his two-second attention span quickly lost interest. Forgetting about the teacher, the Filipino took his gaze back to the window, staring at the open view. It was very pretty, and Miles really liked pretty things. Ah! But there! A butterfly came into view, which took the boy's attention almost immediately. Jumping down from his desk, he positioned himself on both hands and feet -like usually- and crawled onto the window sill.

Maybe he could reach out and touch the butterfly, who knew? It would be nice if the butterfly would play with him, since it was so pretty.

"Hey Mr. Buuuttterrrflyyy wanna plaaaay~?"

He heard the butterfly say yes to him, and then it told him to come out and play. Nodding rapidly, Miles stretched out his hand to try and catch it, but it flew away before he could. Pouting, the brunette tried again, but still no luck. This was becoming very annoying, and he had little patience. Then a thought occurred to him, maybe Mr. Butterfly wanted Miles to go and fly with him? Oh how splendid! Eyes beaming, the boy grinned widely and took a crouching position.

"I'm coming!!"

The butterfly seemed happy, as it told him how wonderful the day with him would be. And with that, Miles jumped out the window.

Edward hadn't really been listening, in fact, to the casual observer, he seemed to be in a total daydream. He was sitting in the darkest corner of the room, softly muttering apparently abstract sounds at the monkey perched on his shoulder. In any other place, that would be construed as rather odd, but everyone knew Edward Granz was a freak, so they were used to it. Anyway, nobody would call him on it, not while he had his trusty black book.

The boy next to him, Edward knew, actually was crazy. Over the rainbow from the day he was born. His madness rather overshadowed Edward's act, which was why the Demon of Florence Academy had chosen to sit there in the first place. It was all about control, manipulating the opinion of his peers. Sometimes he pretended to talk to Miles, which, like talking to Zuriel, made him look somewhat...other.

Still, occasionally it was problematic. Like now. His little mad friend was going to get himself killed, and that wouldn't be much fun. His deceptively weak-looking arm snapped out and caught the Filipino boy's ankle, leaving him dangling out of the window. As Zuriel hopped from his shoulder and ran down to the mad boy's head, Edward tutted. "Chudi, Chudi, Chudi. It might be fun to fly but it's very careless to fall~"
